maxidot / steering wheel controls problem

Featured Replies

As you might have seen in another thread, I recently had to replace the alternator in my 1.9 130pd elegance 05. After replacement and the battery was completely recharged, I had to enter the radio security code. Since then the top part of the maxidot (the bit that tells you what readio station you are listening to) is blank, also the volume controls on the steering wheel have stopped working.

The maxidot still works fine for the trip computer - and the steering wheel buttons for cruise control are also fine.

is there some kind of "reset" procedure for the radio and maxidot ?

i have the same problem, are you have some idea for fix the problem?

Have you tried playing around with the menu on the maxidot? (Instead of flicking through the info on the maxi dot, hold down for a few seconds to get into the menu).

My Superb has done this now and again, where the top of the display disappears. Hasn't done it for ages though (over a year, touch wood). I did get a Skoda dealer to look at it under warranty at the time, but they could find no fault.
