How to add Rear Speakers

Featured Replies

I have got PDTDI1.4 with only front speakers.

How to open the rear door cover to add rear speakers?

Any idea whether rear speakers are enabled ?

I have fader option in music system, so I suspect that it will work without extra efforts.

To remove door panel (rear and fronts are the same), you should begin to remove from no. 5 cover. And then remove the bolts 6 ve 7...

The wiring should take place through B pillar. This means lot of work, but the result is nice sound...

You'll probably get a better sound than I have in my Fabia 3 - the rear speakers are not much cop when it comes to anything with any bass.

I have added a small enclosed 10" subwoofer in the boot, and cut out the lowest frequencies to the speakers in the doors, and find the speakers pretty good!

Wasn't that bad as standard either, but that is just my opinion :)

Looks difficult

I will try it! Thanks for the pictures

Is the wiring, and adding speakers, only thing I need to do?

Yes. But, grab some door panel clips too. Because some of them break off during removal...

I could remove the door panels and broke some door panel clips too :-)

What I could not find is, from where to take output for rear speakers.

The amplifier? where is it located?

Remove the DANCE CD-MP3 player, you will see the wiring diagramm sticker and the connection site on the bakc side ;)
