Octavia vrs code error 16985 P0601

Featured Replies

Please help fellow skoda owner's i keep getting engine warning light on had it checked 3 times and reset but after 10 miles or so it comes back on i am running out of money and ideas the error code is (16985 P0601 Internal control module memory check sum error). The car has been chipped etc has this out to do with it many thaks Jase.

I had this code come up on my mk1 Octy Vrs. I believe it was caused by the Forge Split-r Dump Valve i had fitted. Shortly after fitting the engine management light came on, i swapped back to the original OEM Bosch D.V and hey presto light went out and no more error code.

Do you have a non OEM D.V as it could be this that is causing it?

My car is also chipped so maybe the combination of the chip and Forge D.V was not liked by the cars ECU.

Hope this helps.
