Tyres for my faby with VRS rims

Featured Replies

I need to get new tyres all round soon and wondered wheres the best to buy from ? Looked online at www.blackcircles.com or should i stick to a garage or tyre centre.

The tyre size im looking for is 205 45 16

Can anyone advise me on whats best for the money (£50 and under a tyre) idealy

:D Rob

Camskill are also good.

Toyos T1R are a good bet.

Try "My Tyres.com" I've just put a set of toyos on they are still bedding in but they are better than the Vredesteins i had in before. There isnt many "named" tyres for below £50 but on my previous car i had

Falken ZIEX ZE-912 which were good and they are £54 on my tyres.

Regards Chris

I would also advise as well as looking online to ring around local INDEPENDENT or SMALL TYRE FIRMS (NOT KWICK FIT ETC THEY ARE A RIP-OFF) and get prices.

I managed to get a set of budget tyres for my Fabia for £49 each, and I find them to be perfectly acceptable in terms of grip and ride, if a little bit noiser than the Toyo T1R I had before.

Have you tried Event Tyres? www.event-tyres.co.uk

They seem pretty reasonable and as they're mobile, they'll come to you! I going to use them for a set of Falken FK452's in the new year

I always buy from Camskill. Toyo's too!!! They are always very good (Both!).

Thread hijack - I have always sworn by T1R's but they are very noisy and I am doing alot of mway miles at the moment. Looking at Rainsports or Falkens. Anyone know if these are any quieter?

Cheers

Cheers i'll try them out.....dont toyo proxes tend not to last very long although they are an extremely good tyre for the money ?

I have not found they wear quicker than any other tyres. Depends how you drive I suppose. I went through my first set (fronts) in 9k miles. But my last set lasted 15K miles.

I'm after a set of tyres that are going to have good motorway wear. I'm doing about 18k miles a year. I'm prepared to lose a little bit of the fun factor to save me buying to sets of tyres a year.

Any suggestions/help greatly appreciated?

The Uniroyal rainsports I had on my Fabia were very good.

TyreTraders.com .......Just bought 2 Toyo T1-R's at £63 each - bargain!!!

what speed rateing should be used for fabia vrs tyres?

If you'd searched, you could have had them for £55.49 each from Camskill. Oh well :)
