Has been like this for ages but figured now might be a good time to see why it's doing this:

on the middle setting where lights come on when a door opens - When doors open the light comes on but the door puddle lights remain out. When the doors are all shut the puddle lights come on which is pretty bright at night! These are completely backwards to how they should work. When these puddle lights come on, the bulbs in the roof light unit also glow very slightly.

Have been told nothing can be reset in vagcom so wondering what to do. Was thinking perhaps switching over the wires in the puddle light might help? Not sure on the glowing bulbs in the roof light.

I'm fairly sure the puddle lights were on whenever the interior lamp was on in my Fabia.

I reckon you've got an earth missing for the puddle lights (or maybe one of them wired backwards?) and they are backfeeding the interior light.

Probably should add to this thread that when doing my vRS conversion I used the original TDI wiring looms in the doors, and simply plugged in the vRS wiring into it. AFAIK it has done the above ever since the conversion. I quite fancy just reversing the wiring in the plug for each of the puddle lights....? Ross?
