Thought I would share this ammusing discovery with you all.

I have a Fabia TDI which I got 13 months ago and have never had any problems with the battery. Had not used the car much over Christmas but took it for a brief drive on the Wednesday but on the Friday it was dead.

I since discovered I had the wrong battery in it - the battery I had was not even the same size - it was smaller. New Correct one fitted today so hope it lasts a good few years!

Should be something along the lines of a 61ah jobbie, bet you had a 44ah one on there?

Yes 44ah rings a bell . . . it was a Halfords HB076 I think . . .
