ABS and Hand Brake Light on over 15mph what is this fault code

Featured Replies

Having problems with my abs light coming on along with the handbrake light then bleeps 3 times it only does this when the car reaches 15 mph.

I have had the car on the computer and get fault "defective ecu" and no communication from the abs module.

Is this likley to be a problem with the 30 pin wiring plug and cable that goes from the abs module back to the ecu.

Or could it mean a defective main ECU, These are the only symptoms i am having with the car at the moment.

When the codes have been cleared and taken round the block the codes come back with "battery high voltage at pin 30) is this the indicating the 30 pin abs module plug.

Thanks for any pointers on this, just hope its not going to cost to much to fix as i am nakered for the MOT now

Can i not just bypas/take bulb out to get it through its mot when its time

Why do bloody cars have to fail a test on abs when there are cars that dont have abs fitted and they are ok to pass.

without the abs all it means is that my brakes are the same as a car that dosent have abs but the brakes still function.

a car dosent fail an mot when the traction controll light isnt working or in operation

All this just for a sodding light on the dash. :D
