Battery bracket

Featured Replies

Just picked up my new battery bracket and bolt from Skoda, as mine had rusted to death!!

The new bracket has an extra bit on it though, obviously for something I don't have to fit onto. Instead of just being a square plate with a central hole, it has a vertical section on the end, with two horizontal prongs.

PN. is 6X0 959 502 A

Have I been given the wrong part, or is this an updated part for use on newer models as well?

I'll see if it fits tomorrow, but it looks it will, just with an extra bit...... (useful mounting bracket for a catch tank maybe!)

Anyone got any ideas?

It certainly looks useful!! :D

It holds a relay on some other models. Probably find they just produce the one bracket now.

It's designed to catch your knuckles on while changing the headlight :D

Thanks Lummox, I just like to know what I'm missing out on with empty brackets and blank buttons etc!

I also fear that trundlenut is correct about it being a nice little skin removing device!

Mystery solved....
