newbie Skoda owner (Manuals)

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I'm new here. A week ago bought 05 Superb Elegance TDI 130bhp with 68k miles on the clock. It's an ex lease model from Lex. This is my first Skoda and I really love it so far.

Now the only problem that I have is trying to find out what all these buttons do and how to use them :)

I've figured out how aircon works but having trouble with cruise control. Also at the moment my dash is showing the distance I will drive with the amount of diesel in my tank. Is there a way to see average consumption?

Also there is a cargoflex in the boot and I would like to know how to use it.

Can anyone help me out or maybe share the user/owner manual?

Thank you

Welcome to the forums, i could go through the process of explaining all your questions, but it would be much easier (for everyone) if you managed to get a copy of the owners manual, try the dealer or possibly even ebay, they may well sell for more on there than at the dealers though so beware.

The manual is IMO essential for modern cars especially when they are fully loaded like an Elegance is.

Although some of the descriptions in the manuals do not translate into English very well, it is not difficult to understand what they are trying to explain.

Buy a Passat manual on eBay.

Haynes manual 4279 for the Passat covers the works.

rotodiesel.

Welcome to briskoda.

To change the fuel computer readings, on the end of the right hand stalk there is a rocker switch, use that to change the display.

On the underside is a push in button that changes between trip computer 1 and 2 the No is displayed in the top right of the display.

Trip 1 restarts every trip or contiues if car restarted within 2 hours.

Trip 2 is a whole life reading, but can be reset by holding in the trip computer switch button.

Hope that helps a bit.

As far as I can see the common problem is the water leaks.

We had pretty terible weather yesterday with high winds and loads of rain. I've checked the carpets and they are dry. Saying that I probably will ask the dealer to clean the drainage during service. Or maybe do to it myself if I'll find how.

What is Freedom ?
