Octavia vRS Warning Light

Featured Replies

My warning light came on and it was diagnosed as 17705. If fault reoccurs will require throttle body and intake temp sensor as per tpi.

And the light has come back on again, I have been quoted just under £500 including labour to get this fixed at the skoda garage.

Can I get it done cheaper somewhere else?

Will it damage my car if I don't get it fixed?

Cheers Mike.

I doubt it's your throttle body that is at fault. Do a forum search for 17705 and you'll find loads of info on this very common fault code.

 Are they for real

You can do the throttle body yourself with a new gasket and I doubt the sensor will cost more than £20?

17705 can be loads of things so like Yellow has said have a search about

***Edit they are saying a new throttle body and not a clean?***
