2.5" downpipe?

Featured Replies

hello

my cats just gone on my vrs,ive got a 2.5" downpipe with decat in my garage and was wondering if this would go on my standard system?

it has the holes drilled in it for the sensors so will the car be ok if i fit it?

ive seen a 2.5" blue flame catbac on ebay if the decat wont fit the standard pipe

then i can get a sports cat before my m.o.t runs out in dec2009 and save a bit of cash at the minute, just trying to find the best way to go about things

thanks :D

it will need a reducer to fit the standard system as it 2.25", and will obviously bring on a engine warning light, but if your cats gone anyway you probably have a light already

Thanks:thumbup:,no light though,im going to take it to a exhaust center today make sure it is the cat..ive read a few threads about the lamda sensers putting a warning light on and sending the car into limp mod when you decat them, does this mean the car will run slow until the fault is corrected:confused: or can you run it with the warning lights on as norm:confused:

long as its the fault code that comes up for the decat it wont affect the running it will just leave a light on

How will you pass the mot or a roadside VOSA inspection? Don't forget to tell the insurance and check they are happy with it being run in an non-road compliant state, as if you had a crash and were inspected they would for sure invalidate your insurance if this isn't on record.

Good luck, Greg.
