hi iam the owner of a octavia II 1.8tsi with a med 17.5 ecu

i have bought the vag-com release 805.1 and the problem is when i make the test it says that everything is ok ( k1-k2-can ) exept that the status has a self test fail.

i have made the led test and it is ok.

the result is when i make a autoscan for example it can not see the ecu.

i have tried and the new release 812.1 and the problem is the same.

i have tried with vista and xp and the problem is the same.

any help?????:(

I take it the ignition is on (the position before start).

Do you have an aftermarket radio? If so you need to read Ross-Tech: VAG-COM: Afterrmarket Radio Problem

yes the ignition is on and the radio is aftermarket.

i tried without the fuse from the radio but it did not work again.

today i will try it with a octavia rs 2.0ltr tfsi and let you know.

it is with the radio from skoda.
