Finally some pictures of my new car - I hope they upload okay - (it's the first time we've had any reasonable weather up here!)

Whilst driving today I couldn't resist waving to a guy in a Bentley Continental who lives in the same village and surprisingly I didn't get an acknowledgement (bet he reads Autocar - shame yours came second mate - never mind)

I was interested to see that Autocar agree with what I've said before about the ride on 18'' alloys - its good enough to beat cars costing a lot more money.

One of the best things I find with the Skoda is that (so far) no-one has given me any bad attitude on the road (e.g. I get flashed out of junctions easily), wonder if the Bentley driver can say the same?

Well, after 500 miles I'm still delighted with the Superb.No faults at all (touch wood)

The only thing I've done to it is to put a car rug on the back seat under the child seats as my children's shoes were scuffing the new leather. As said on another thread, the ivory coloured leather is easily marked.

Apart from that, no complaints.

Very nice, I have to say though I don't really like the side view. The rear of the car looks lumpy (to me) wouldn't stop me buying one. maybe in 12 months. if I'm not credit crunched that is. Enjoy your new car. We have the same problem with the kiddie seat. (black leather).

Unlike your cars interior, I shall be making do with black cloth. At least it should prove fairly child resistant.

with regards to kids feet scuffing the leather - we have the same interior and have 2 kids seats. we bought some of these and they are excellent.

SUPER MAT CAR SEAT PROTECTOR BY SUNSHINE KIDS on eBay, also, Car Seat Accessories, Car Seats, Baby (end time 18-Jan-09 14:42:19 GMT)

they are really thickly padded which helps reduce the indents left in the seats and also the front flap covers the seat where there feet go. they are non slip and I would highly recommend them

my dad has the exact same model and colour arriving end of january but with the dark interior, cars looking stunning. nice pics.

Jcb, I've had a look at the car seat covers you suggested, thank you. I'm sure they would be ideal, had I not already bought the car rug to do the same job.

Various options to do the same thing really, as long as the little Darlings don't get the chance to mess up my nice clean car.

Hands up anyone who hasn't found something unpleasant stuck under where their children have been sitting? (half chocolate buttons melted and smeared all over is always nice to find)

There are methods to keep it all nice, foam interior cleaner is a good one for most stains, if you get lumps such as gum or chocolate use an ice cube to freeze it and chip it off, and for the leather just make sure you stay on top of it with a reconditioner and sealer.

2slo - i went for the seat cover thingys that i mentioned as they ae waterproof and non-slip. I am not sure about a rug on leather in a accident - the car seats might move around.

one other solution i find works well - no sticky lollies or chocolate in the car !!! crisps are OK as they hoover up !

We bought similar mat but the bigger one (2-Stage Ultra Mat: Ultra Mat: Amazon.co.uk: Baby) and it has some black fabrics in the back. Is it the same with Super Mat and does not this black fabric soil the Ivory leather?
