Baker21's Modding and Detailing Day.....

Featured Replies

as always a fine job done by your good self

modding? You would have removed the wheels anyway, no? :P So chucking back another set on is no extra work. ;) I was expecting to see R32 brakes going on, some coilovers, front & back R32 bumpers. :D

Great work as always. I have two pots of Collinite 476s coming to me so I hope I put it to good use. Seems to be one of the ultimate good value sealer waxes out there. :) Any tips on applying it appreciated (apart from "wash car first" - obvious one that ;))

Yep another top job, hope mine can turn out half as good.

Excellent job. Surprised though that you used Megs Hot Shine on the trim as well. Did it not leave a glossy/oily finish? Would it not streak when it rains.

Looking good :)

Sorry mate but if the owner had bought those things then I would have happily got involved but I think changed the wheels is one major modification for the looks department.

I apply Collinite by loading up the applicator heavily at the beginning and then workin the wax into a large area ensuring that I spread it out evenly making it as thin as possible, this also means that you don't have to keep going back into the tin but you want to achieve a thin coverage on the first and second coats. Applying a different wax on top also needs to be completed in a thin layer to achieve godo results.

Yep another top job, hope mine can turn out half as good.

Thanks and I am sure it will mate and it won't be long now..........

Many thanks for the comment.........

I regularly use this product or Aerospace 303 and I find the trick to to spray the product onto an applicator pad, apply to the area and then go around the car with a microfibre rubbing the product into the black trim to achieve an even non gloss finish.

Looking good :)

Thanks Ross and assume we are still on for Saturday?
