Rear electric window not working after new stereo

Featured Replies

Hi,

Don't know if anyone can help but after I put a stereo in my 2001 Fabia the right rear electric window doesn't work. I've had a look at the fuses but can't seem to spot a wrong'un. The stereo doesn't hold it's memory either so I reckon I've blown something that's connected to them both.

It does sound like a man made fault, so impossible to give tech advice.

To fix the stereo not holding its memory, you need to swap the 12V supplies around. The skoda wiring has these wires the opposite way around to standard ISO.

Had a Kenwood in it before though and that was OK. I'll give it a go anyway though and see what happens

Swapped the 12v supplies round and now works a treat. Cheers Mannyo!

I think the window could well be a completely different problem as I haven't actually opened the rear window for months. Maybe the motor's burnt out? I know it's not the fuse anyway as I've checked that.
