Fabia VRS / non VRS headlights-Is there a difference?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I'm after a set of Fabia headlights but having just spoken to a local breaker i am in some doubt as to whether there is a difference between VRS and non-VRS headlights. I would have said they were exactly the same, but the breakers seem adomant that they are different.

Was just wondering if anyone here could shed some light on this?(please excuse that TERRIBLE pun!!)

Cheers,

Jon

The vRS was available with optional Xenon HiD headlamps.

Other than that they're identical

As said above, assuming that both cars have normal headlights and not xenon HiDs, they are identical in every way.

And as Ross managed to repair my xenons using various bits from the non-Xenons, they are the same size on the outside anyway :)

Thanks guys. I was sure i wasn't going mad! shows what the breakers know i guess!

Cheers!

This may sound like a bit of a stupid question..

but does that mean that any models with the Hid xenon's as an optional extra have a completely different headlight?

I am asking as I am interested in fitting aftermarket Hid bulbs although will I need a full new headlight to ensure the light is aligned and projected correctly?

The internals are different yes.

However you can fit the HID kits into regular bulbs. If you want the legal biz on that have a search, been done to death.

Xenon headlamps..
