I'll get straight to the point, 7 years No Claims (protected), 37 years of age and 2 claims. The first was 2 and a half years ago when my keys were stolen my house got burgled. The second claim was last Jan when a guy hit my car when it was parked up. The cost of the 2nd claim was fully recovered and it was only a scrape on the bumber and wing so nothing too serious. When the keys were stolen they drove the car for a mile and parked it up (usual practice the police informed me so they can go back to it or see if it has a tracker on it. (got new locks and keys)

Any whooo I was paying 750 quid lasy year and now i have to pay 950 quid. The next cheapest quote I have had was 1100 and tesco's wanted 1600. This is with the car parked on a driveway and I am a carefull driver although I have an SP30, but who hasnt these days.

My insurance Esure couldnt explain why my insurance has gone up and suggested it was because of the mods on my car. These were declared and my insurance went up by 30 quid some 2 years ago and didnt make any difference when I said I would remove them. I dont want tos sell as the car rules but I dont want to be getting ripped off iether coz I drive a high risk car?:finger:

I was hoping to get a remap after the 3 year warranty but am afraind of getting cained for more money.

Just wondering what other people are paying on here!

Currently swmbo is paying around £600 for my fabia, I pay £680 for her Clio 182. Thats in St Helens. Moving back to Prescot so Me with the clio goes up to £900+ so I'm going back to swiftcover for £620. Think swmbo will end up paying around £600 again with a change of insurance company as agian it goes up to £900+ moving to prescot.

I've got 8 years no claims. She has 4 years no claims.

Been looking at renewal quotes for my vrs, its not due for a couple of months but im interested to see what ill be paying. Aged 27, driving 6 years two years no claims and 3 claims, best quote was just shy of £500.

Seems a lot.

I live in St Helens area, just turned 28yrs, been driving 10 years, Octy II vRS diesel hatch, parked on the street, paying just under £680 for the year, fully comp with protected no claims (6 years), me and SWMBO insured for SDP inc commuting and business use. And it's insured for 25k miles per year.

Direct Line covering me at the moment, but best advice is shop around every time you renew - you get spanked at renewal time and waaaaay too many people just roll over and accept it. The company giving you a great deal for this year will be horribly uncompetitive the following year, and there never seems to be any rhyme nor reason for it.

have you tried Adrian Flux ?

been the cheapest for me for years

Insurance premiums are going up on the whole so if the price didn't change that would be a bigger discount over last year..

It's down to a few factors, the main two being uninsured drivers and also a the fact that people put in claims for injury when they are not.

My insurance has jut gone down to jut under £400 which is great for me. Mods covered, but I live in a really good area for car crime. 5 years unprotected no claims, and a clean license. I guess most areas of Merseyside are bad for crime. Where I am I don't think there has even been a crime of any kind in my neighbourhood - and I've lived here for 4 years+

You still with the same company and same policy I take it then Jason?

Did you ever get confirmation in writing regarding the car?
