Left headlamp lens smashed on the motorway

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I do have a problem with my Left Headlamp Lens - it has been smashed by a rock (or something else) on the motorway ... it looks like the inside is OK ... only the lens has been damaged.

Any ideas where can I buy left lens to skoda octavia 1999? - I've checked on ebay and there are Headlamp Protectors for £33 but they list only models 2001-2004 ... are lamps for skoda octavia 1999 much different?

Many thx in advance

Cheers,

mck

as far as i know mate you cant get just the plastic, maybe try splitting the headlamp down and looking for a partnumber, someone else on here might have more of an idea about it

thx for your replay

I've read somewhere that the lens/protector is quite easy to replace ... but first I need to find a lens (or the whole headlamp)

Does anyone else know the place where I can find lens/plastic to skoda octavia 1999 (left)

many thx

cheers,

mck

As yours is a pre-facelift model you can replace the lenses separately, unlike the newer facelifted cars (including all vRS's) where it's a sealed unit.

Skoda garage would be a safe bet for a new lense. Looks like they are just held on with clips, with a seal between the lense and the housing.

The headlamp protectors you mentioned are for the facelifted cars, and wouldn't help you out.

:iagree: - the facelift car headlights are a different width to the pre-facelift.
