I have now had my Elegance 1.8TSi DSG for a week!!!!

I am so pleased with the car and at the moment all seems to work. However, I remember from the skoda catalogue that the exterior mirrors are"electrically folding door mirrors (after locking of car)". This was standard in the SE and I assumed would be in th Elegance.

I have looked through the manuals and on the car system but I cannot see how, if it is still possible, to make the mirrors fold when locking the car.

Does anybody know how to get the mirrors to fold after locking the car?

When you lock the car just keeping holding the button down for a few seconds and it will (should) fold the mirrors (if you have that option on your model).

cant do it automatically.

One thing i noticed - the lights under the mirrors that light the ground so you can see when you are getting in the car are not very effective if the mirrors are folded in !

bean-counter...where abouts are you located. are you in the UK ? if so then i think you must have the 2nd 1.8DSG as i reckon mine was the 1st.

we must compare economy figures as mine is....well...lets just say its a good job i dont do many miles !!!

As well as the mirrors folding in with this holding of the button, can the same be done with the windows, if they are left down - do they go up as the Superb 1?

If you have the windows down and you also want to fold the mirrors in you press and hold the button down and the windows shut then release the button and press it again the mirrors fold in.

I am in Wiltshire and I would love to compare economy figures. I am sorry to see you are having so much trouble with your car.

I have done about three hundred miles and I suppose I will have some meaningfull figures when I get to 500, although I have yet to do any motorway driving.
