Help! Furby Xenon alignment

Featured Replies

Well what can I say. I've buggered by headlight alignment up :thumbdwn:

With the nose down affect of having TDI spring on a vRS the xenon range is well...not good. So time to have a play under the bonnet (bad idea). To get straight to the point the drivers side headlight is sitting on the deck and refuses to go any higher, headlight motor moves it back down. Followed these vag-com steps but same thing happens. http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/xenonalignment.html

HELP!

P.S. Passenger side is fine

John, you may want to PM John, err, I mean taviars. I seem to recall him having to do a similar thing with his tavvy following some KW modifications :D

MAke sure when you go into basic setting (04) and select channel 001 you wait for the adjust command. Then adjust your light. Then enter channel 002 without coming out of the address this will then learn the new setting. Without doing this it will just revert back again.

Unless youve been unlucky and the motor has come off the headlamp and is stuck down, does it move like its connected of does it flop about?

Yep done that in Vag-Com but again when you get so far up the motor moves it back down.

I think the motors alright as it moves up (so far :thumbdwn: ) and down alright.

Will it have any effect if the car is not on a flat surface?

Cheers
