I've got it!

Featured Replies

FInally it arrived last week. Yesterday I left the Volvo S60, full of NVH (in this aspect, it's the worse car I've had...), and went to the local Skoda dealer to pick my new company car up. Remembering the specs:

Superb Elegance 1.8 TSI with DSG, satin grey, beige interior with noblesse, premium bluetooth and Bolero radio

(here in Spain the Elegance is different from UK; for example, leather upholstery or bluetooth aren't standard).

It's a very quiet car; when you're driving through the urban traffic, it seems to be electric :D , you can't hear the engine (the Volvo was as noisy as a fishing boat, due to its diesel engine). The interior is cavernous, every time anyone see the rear seats it's the same: "Oh my God, it's a limo"

DSG is very smooth, I'm waiting for the having run 2 or 3.000 km to explore the sport mode, but for the moment the feelings are very positive.

Bolero sound system is EXTRAORDINARY, a true concert hall  . One of the best sound systems I've ever heard in a car; you can compare it with my 2002 XK8's premium Alpine system :)

GREAT CAR !!!

Mmmmmmmmmm Pictures, Grrrrrrrrr!

Nice Buy.

Enjoy your car

how is it going with the DSG?

  • Author

It's an extraordinary thing. It's as smooth as any automatic, but the changing is so fast thath you can't feel it. At the beginning of this week I finished the first 1.000 miles, so I put the DSG in "S" (sport) and enjoyed it for some minutes. A rocket.

Comfortable, fuel economy (I thought it was going to be thirstier), fast...

I recommend it to everyone :)

cool...it is the 7speed one? if yes it has as standard the hill hold function isn't?

Yes and yes. Tes, it's the 7-speed gearbox and yes, it has the "hill hold" function. The first two or three times you are going outside the garage you feel odd when you push the accelerator and the car doesn't move :ashamed:, but then you feel good with it ;)
