We've borrowed a Passat (V Reg) from a family friend after my sisters Micra got pinched and vandalised.

Saturday my sister noticed the indicator lense is "sticking out" and peels it off

I come home, take the cluster off and glue the lense on.

Stick in a new bulb as the old one had the colouring flaking off

Coming home at night and heard a dull thud. In the mirror saw a lense shaped object.

Got home and the whole unit had popped off!!

Sunday had a look at the other side, and realised it was my fault.

The Passat has a securing spring on the indicator housing

Is it quite similar to the felicia indicator?

I have had problems of indicator lenses popping off on mine.

Any scrappers near you?

I'm sure you won't struggle to find any parts for a passat.

Its very similar to a Felicia unit. Only the Felicias doesnt have the securing spring.

You just slide the unit in/out of the wing to change the bulb, just remember to clip the spring if you have a Passat!!!

my mechanic got a new unit for us.

But needed a bulb holder.

Cue the "scavenger" but the Felicia holder has a different connector on the wires than the Passat.

Passat is round but the Felly is square.

Chopped the wires so now the Passat has a square connector on one side.

Slid it on, clipped the spring and the indicator works
