did a search but can not find any thing to tell me wat this w8 interior light mod is that i have heard about.can any one explain or point me in the right direction?

W8 is not as easy thing to search for - as I think the search engine on here requires 3 or more characters!

My understanding is its an interior light from a Passat - indeed using "Passat interior light" as search terms brings up a number of threads that might point you in the right direction.

I have a W8 light and it's been transplanted between 2 x Octavia's and the current Roomster. not to much hassle to fit, I never got round to doing a guide as there are plenty circulating t'tinternet.

Ambient light effect.. gives the cabin a warm amber glow at night, over the controls / gear stick.. quite subtle, like street lamp lighting.
