CCTV Camera installation for Parking Aid

Featured Replies

Dear Members,

Greetings!

I would like to know if any of you have installed CCTV camera in SKODA Octavia?

I've purchased a CCTV camera and a 7" LCD. I was wondering if I could get inputs for installation.

Ideal choice is to fit it in bumper (rear end) and route the cable to dashboard and connect to LCD. There is no provision to install 7" LCD on the dash board, I also need suggestions in this regard.

i personally wouldnt bother, we have them on several vehicles at work, they ok before you start reversing to make sure no one has decided to make an insurance scam with you (put a vehicle behind you or stand out of sight there) but imho people will become to reliant on them and forget to use common sense and to look around.... rant over lol

might be worth asking on a car audio forum as this is pretty common ime with these guys.

try talkaudio.com

I have a reverse camera mounted were my boot lock used to be but my alpine screen has a camera input so as soon as i select reverse the camera overides whatever is on the screen and shows the rear view, hard to say if your screen has a specific input without knowing what model it is but if it doesn't have a specific input you could probably use one of the external inputs but i would think you would have to select the external input source manually to see whats behind

heres a pic of my camera
