Alloy Wheel for Octavia

Featured Replies

Dear Members,

What is the max size (16", 17", 18", ...etc) of the Alloy wheel that can be fitted to Skoda Octavia I (2006 model)

Regards,

Javeed

i think someone on here with a vrs has fitted 20" wheels but it requires a lot of work to the suspension, i would imagine as 17" is standard on vrs 18" wouldn't be too much of a compromise to handling ride etc

As mentioned, 18" are not uncommon and a few have bigger.

You need to check the tyre size as well - a rule of thumb is that the new rolling circumference should be within +/- 3% of the original.

There is a calculator on Car Bibles : The Wheel and Tyre Bible Page 2 of 2

from what i recall tyre size should be:

18" - 225/40

19" - 235/35

not too sure on 20's but i know at least one member running 20's on an octy, and i believed lowered too. HTH

I'm running 18x8s, 35 offset :)

The Octy Mk II can come with 15, 16, 17 and 18" wheels from the factory depending on options specified and trim level. The 18" is an option on the VRS for example.

Therefore with the correct tyre/wheel combination these should all be fine on your car.

It is worth noting that all of the factory supplied options have the same rolling radius on the wheel/tyre package, they just alter the ratio between wheel and tyre.
