Front wishbone bush

Featured Replies

Just for interest, have a look at the difference between the standard front wishbone bush and the Whiteline one.

Mmm

I must admit , I saw this when Mr Whiteline popped in to see us , it is impressive isn`t it?

It's amazing the difference these Whiteline bushes make to the handling and steering feel!

Just the reduction of caster loss during cornering gives it sooo much more grip and less understeer.......

Impressive - how much, where can you get them, and do they affect the ride? I think something like this could be the ideal first step in improving the general feel of my Mk2 Fabia Estate 1.9TDi, which is a bit slushy to say the least!

Anyone care to respond on this?

Ibiza bush will do the same and be much cheaper no doubt.

Does that mean ANY Ibiza bush will do (ie be stiffer than the standard fabia bush) or a bush for a specific Ibiza model?

Use the bushes meant to be used on a Ibiza "Cupra". I've installed these on my New Fabia 1,9 TDI, and they do make the car handle better. I have combined the bushes with -30-40mm springs from Eibach.

New Fabias produced now have a different lower wishbone and bush construction to avoid the bushes wearing out to fast. I think the change came with the 09 modelyear.

Hi JonA

You wouldn´t have a partno. lying around on those bushes..?

I have found some prices on diff bushes....

Seat Cupra 23 pounds

Powerflex 51 pounds

These are the prices here in DK. Would you say the Powerflex are twice as good as the Seat ones, or are the Seat ones just fine?

If anyone from Skoda/dealer is reading, any chance of these bushes being fitted retrospectively for those of us who keep our cars for longer?Would this form part of a Service Bulletin or even a recall? All constructive advice welcome.Car is '57 1.2 70hp level 2 H/Back.
