51 plate Fabia 1.4 - fuse nightmare - does this need to be reset via vagcom

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I've just had to replace the fuse for my wiper and because I'm an idiot I dislodged the lambda fuse and started the engine. (I got a bit mixed up with which fuse I was aiming for).

Since this point, the engine management light has been on. Is it likely that this is due to the engine running without the lambda running for a few minutes and if so, given there is now a fuse again, is there an easy way to remove the light?

Thanks in advance

Tim

ps my wipers now work, which is nice :)

The light should eventually go out on its own after so many driving cycles, once the ECU has detected that the Lambda is functioning. A record of the fault will remain recorded in the ECU (downgraded to intermittent) until it is erased with diagnostic equipment.
