Thinking of changing the springs an dampers on the new car 57plate Octavia 2.0tdi estate dsg L&K, as it looks as tho its on stilts. Was thinking about the Eibach pro full set of springs an dampers. How do I find out if I am currently using 55mm or 50mm front shocks?

i had to physically measure mine on my vrs with a micrometer. it turned out to be 55mm, but i didnt trust myself and got the local garage to put his sliding measure over it to confirm,

the area you need to measure the shock absorber is just above where it inserted into the strut

I think the car looking like it's on stilts has been the least of his worries since he got side swiped in that car park.
