Sick Octavia VRS Diesel. Help! - UPDATE

Hi All,

Turned out to be a ****y ECU which has since been replaced. Now all systems go and running like a dream. Getting an extra 2 MPG too for some reason. Weird.

How did you get on with Elmside - I had a slightly dodgey buying experience with them, and I'm wondering about going back to them for servicing, etc. I live about 3 miles away, but my mother lives about 10 from Dennis Hortons in Lincoln, so I'm inclined to go there. Pleased to hear its worked out well for you.

I found them ok. I only used them cos they were closest to my office. It looks a bit "backstreet garage" but they did the business.

I got stuck in traffic taking my car over there and they waited til 1845 for me, fair play. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again but that's only based on this one dealing with them

Elmside Skoda helped me with a tricky problem on my Octy diesel vRS. Everything pointed to a faulty ECU but in fact it turned out to be a fauly connector between the labda probe and ECU. Two other garages couldn't be bothered but Elmside took a long time and many visits to crack it in the end.
