Just an update - for Stuart in particular as he has noticed that something smells fishy in insurance land - Nothing has happened! Spoke with the insurers yesterday and they haven't sent the second inspector yet. My complaint letters got mis-routed (surprise.....) etc etc. I will accept a payout when we can agree a value as I have bought a replacement car - a 2006 Superb Elegance - as we couldn't cope without it, but until they pay I'm a bit skint! Bought the car from a Nissan dealer of all places and he hit the roof when I insisted on the umbrella & mats being renewed (both were missing).

Will keep you posted when something interesting happens....

Have you tried sending complaint letters via Recorded or Special delivery? That way they can't "loose" your letters...

Interesting the way things happen, Insurance is often never black & white, more a technicolour coat of deals. Any more news ??
