Rear wiper spray stopped working

Featured Replies

As above following a ski trip where temps were very low and the washer fluid froze.

Thought the problem would be resolved when it thawed but when I try you can hear the motor trying to send the fluid back, but nothing comes out. I've tried to clean the nozzle no luck.

A block? Is it a garage job?

Check that your boot area isn't wet. A known problem is that the tube connecting to the washer nozzle can come off - result being that the water goes into the boot area. You can search the forum - been quite a few cases.

Yup, had that one. But also I've had 2 defective washer nozzles on the back. They're only about 50p and its v. frustrating to keep replacing them.. must be a poor design.

Had a look at one of the lads cars the other day. The hose to Wiper in bootlid was okay, the one at left wheelarch was okay so thought it maybe the Washer Bottle. Absolute pain in **** to get out, disconnected both Front and Rear lines to pump and when activated was getting water out of both. Turned out to be the bloody washer nozzle, if ya lift the cover on the rear arm, the nozzle pops off, its worth checking it before going at anything else
