Parrot Kit

Featured Replies

GUys.

Not strictly Skoda related but not getting any joy from the boys on Civinfo.

I have brought a Parrot MK6000 handsfree kit for the wife's 2006 Civic.

I have the ISO converter but need to know which if the 3 mute wires there are on the parrot to connect up.

Yours Hoping.

I have the CK3100 and that literally just plugged into the ISO lead from the car, then from the Parrot to the radio again.

If it is ISO it should really be the same as the mute lead is built in IIRC?

I've got the 3100 in my Octy and had no problem.

But this has three different mute cables and all 3 with labels saying see radio documentaion.

I've looked at the Honda radio handbook and can't find anything. It maybe a case of play with it and see which one works.

That's one I found using google but you'd have to know the actual manufacturer, worth a shot maybe?

It is weird there are 3 mute leads though :(

I'll have a look.

Cheers

If you use a Harness cable, What I did do (which was recommended by a car installer) was to install the Pink cable (with crimp pin) into one of the free holes in the Adaptor Cable (I can't recall exactly which one now but I can verify that), splice it and join the Yellow mute cable (shown with the Male Butt Splice).

BTW I think the only reason behind the Mute leads is to get Mute to come up on the radio IIRC, so technically you don't need it connected as the Parrot internally mutes.

Also the pink cable in mine popped into a empty slot in one of the connectors but I can't recall which one.

Just found pics I had from when I contacted Parrot, maybe they will help.

Please bear in mind that mine was a Stream unit so your Mute may be at a different location.

Gaff youre a star. Not one person on the Civinfo Forum has helped, and from what I've read the Civic radio doesn't display "mute" when connected anyway. Thanks for clarifying that I don't need to connect the Mute cables.

Oops, I didn't realise it was for a Civic, but glad it was of help
