HELP NEEDED, coilover supension fitting!

Featured Replies

I am fitting Coilovers on the front of My Octy vrs and have come up against a bit of a problem. I know that quite a lot of people on here have fitted KW's with adjustable spring platforms, has any one come across the problem of how to locate the anti-roll bar tie rod? I have posted pics of the coilovers I have and from what I can see it is a problem that anyone who is fitting height adjustable supension will as the tie rod locates on the spring platform of the strut, obviously with this being adjustable on the coilovers you cannot do this. Is is possible to fit a short link beween the AR bar and the swing arm ( there is a tapping in the front of the swingarm just outboard of the AR bar).

Is this something others have come up against? I have posted pics of the Coilover I am fitting and the existing setup on the car

There should be a place to bolt it to just below the spring seat. It's a TT front strut not a Golf one that you want.

The strut does not have anywhere to bolt to, can I take a short 'drop link' and bolt to the swing arm? The other option is to fabricate a clamp with provision to bolt to and mod the link to fit, either way the strut bottom from the brake line brackets it shorter than the one on the OEM damper.
