What's under the battery box?

Featured Replies

As per the title, really:

The battery finally karked it on my wife's Comfy, so I replaced it last night. Thanks to the masses of working space provided by Skoda, I managed to drop the fixing plate bolt and it wedged behind some cabling so tight that my magnetic grabber thingy wouldn't pull it out.

Anyway, I found another M12 bolt to replace it, but the thread was a couple of inches longer than the original. It seemed to torque down OK, and I didn't notice it catching on anything on the way down - but of course it's presumably sticking out a fair way underneath the battery box now.

So does anyone know of anything down there that the new bolt might tangle with, or can I just leave it?

TIA

It might work it's way into the gearbox shifter mechanism, but unlikely. There's just a little shelf under the battery, which gives access to the PAS reservoir cap. :)
