Skoda Fabia Wheel Bearing kits

Featured Replies

wheel bearing kit from eurocarparts, GSF, should be as good, and a bit cheaper. Any garage should be able to change it if they have a press.

Ahhh, you may need more than a press as the ABS ring may cause you an issue. IIRC you do need a special tool

Just a word of warning on this, I had one of the G&S ones fitted to my car & the job had to be done twice!!! Aparantley you must get the bearing that is compataible with the ABS system. How true it is, but there is a sensor of some sort built into the bearing itself ( not the ring or the ABS sensor). I had it done at a very good local independant VW specialist who has been in the game for years & who looks after my whole families VW's & has done for years, he is not one to make things up. Anyhow G&S supplied this part & it was not right, it caused allsorts of trouble with the ABS. In the end I had original parts fitted & no more ABS trouble.

This seemed a little far fetched for me but because of the results & the fact he is totally reliable, I would say go for original parts. G&S are ok for some things but like the old saying you get what you pay for!!!!
