hi all

i wonder if anyone could tell me what type of lead i would need to make vag-com work on my laptop with my 56 plate octavia estate 2 litre. also is the software i need to download from ross tech free

You'd need a vagcom compatible lead. The software is free for one of the versions, and paid for for the other. If you buy an official VAGCOM lead with 'dongle' the software is free for life (upgrades etc).

I got mine from SAB Distribution - Home for £235 inc. next day delivery. They were the cheapest supplier that I could find.

I assume you have a mkII octavia in which case the cheap ebays cables won't work, so you need a proper one from Ross Tech.

You need a CAN capable cable.

Hi all, Sorry to be a pest. My old man bought a '12 plate 2.0 Diesel S back in 2019. He has enjoyed owning the car but no longer needs it for the flexibility it offered as he's retired and uses the car less and less (he used it like a little van). Ive been tasked with selling it. TL:DR - hi! superb 280: wet skiddy without quality back tyres? Hello everybody, New to the forum and owning a skoda. I've got a 2019 superb sportline 280 hatch. Are they known to get a bit unsettled at the back end in the wet? With the job I do I've driven both manual and dsg Haldex skodas (octavias and kodiaq), quite hard, and never experienced this. Granted the work cars are all diesel with Michelin crossclimates. I've had the car 2-3 months now and there's a bit of stuff in the boot. K

Hi there, Just a question about an issue I've had on my mk1 Fabia 1.2 HTP with electric hydraulic power steering. The power steering was going intermittently so I replaced the pump with a used one which fixed the issue. However, the other day I was turning at low speed whilst my sat nav was powered from the 12v socket ("cigarette lighter") and the power steering just totally died, steering warning light came on and no steering assist whatsoever. Insane Automatic brake when reversing

The automatic brake “safety” system on my 2024 Kodiaq is insane. It slams on for the slightest thing when reversing, thinking things like kerbs or people nowhere close to danger present an imminent emergency. There’s no warning and the severity of the brake almost gave my wife whiplash and my elderly mother almost had a heart attack. This happens regularly. I can find the option to disable the front emergency brake but not the rear. Is there a way to disable the system? I’m already looking at ot
