Snow foam lance for aldi power washer

Featured Replies

I am new to all this, so would appreciate any advice.

I have a Karcher-type power washer, purchased from Aldi a couple of years ago (not at home, so can't give precise name) and I would like to buy a foam lance to fit it. Any suggestions as to what should be compatible and where best to buy?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Paul,

Two options based on what i have had to do. You can buy the Karcher fitment foam lance and file the connector slightly to make it fit the Aldi gun; or you can buy the karcher gun (cheap enough on Ebay) which fits on the hose ok and then takes all karcher fitment accessories.

Baker 21 might have more specific advise and helped me out with some of the Aldi pressure washer stuff. But i think thats about it.

Hope this helps.

Ste.

If you have a look at the foam lances on the Clean Your Car website - Snow Foam Lance - you can see a selection of adaptor types that are available.

Even if your pressure washer is an Aldi own-branded one, there is a good chance it is actually manufactured by one of the major suppliers, so you may be able to recognise the style of fitting used on your unit.

If you buy one from there try entering foamlance into the gift box - there is a Group Buy on Detailing World that may be still running (Detailing World)

Funny that, the guy who runs cleanyourcar.co.uk lives on my terrace :)

As has been suggest by Ste you have two options really and I went with the buy a HD Foam Lance and just file the brass fittings to fit into the Powercraft Lance............

As long as you purchase a Karcher fitment on the Foam Lance you source then you will be fine..........

Powercraft Pressure Washer from Aldi = Re-branded Karcher.

Many thanks to all of you who kindly replied - invaluable advice.

Don't forget to ask if they have one with the brass connector as they come with plastic from some suppliers now.

If you get a brass one you could post me just the connector part and i aill machine and file it down for you if you are not confident to do it yourself.

Did mine last year this way and it fits like a glove

If you were to order from Elite Car Care I can assure you, it will be supplied with a Brass fitting..........

It appears some people have had problems with the brass fittings.

Over on DW, Tim at CYC was asked "Do the karcher ones come with a metal or plastic fitment?"

Reply was "They will be plastic from now on unless you specifically want brass. We've never had a problem with brass, but I'd say about 1 in every 30 does so it's just easier for us even though they cost more to use these from now on."

I don't know if other suppliers and users agree with this statement, but it may be worth investigating a little bit further before deciding on brass.

And I would think it should be easily possible to machine / file plastic if "tweaking" is required.

The brass ones are a pain in the **** when fitting on a karcher trust me been there.

When i switched to the Aldi version and adapted my PW and adapted my connector it fits like a glove.

The brass will be much better to machine to fit than some cheapo grade plastic that will probably crack

Halfrauds do a Karcher compatible snow foam lance of for £14.99. You could take your gun in and try it on the lance.
