I've just managed to talk a friend into buying an L&K auto.

Any issues with the auto box or anything else I call tell them about the L&K that helps - like how to keep the alcantara clean ?!

I haven't had any problems (touch wood) with the auto box on my 1.8T Elegance. It's up to 37k miles now' date=' of which around 14k have been post-Jabba.

Since being Jabba'd, it needs a bit of "finesse" with kick-down - otherwise the extra torque makes the car lurch a bit. It can also be a bit "lumpy" when travelling uphill with Kruise control on; the transmission doesn't know the engine has been tweaked and changes down sooner than needed, resulting in a surge forward. Workaround is easy - either don't use Kruise or select a lower gear range.
