Legality of the ECS Race N75 Valve

Featured Replies

I've received this this morning and fitted it just now. I've not had a chance to try it as yet but there is a sticker on the valve itself saying "Off road use only."

I am not aware of any reason why it would be illegal as long as it's declared to the insurers which it has been.

So is this an advisory notice only? If so what is the reason for it?

Cheers.

You've probably hit the nail on the head - it's not as though it'd have any effect on other road users, like 100W main beams would or whatever... ECS are American though, I think, so you'll probably find that anything non-OEM is technically illegal in some states! :ne_nau:

Ah that makes sense. Good thinking!

Had the same thing written on an ABD Turbo intake pipe.

Pretty sure some induction kits e.g. BMC have something like this also.

Pretty sure my NewSouth boost gauge had this written on as well! I laughed!

Only worry if it says it on your tyres!

Had this all over the black beast... ABD intake manifold, fuel rail and CAI...just for the USA market i think
