Adjusting fabia headlamp aim

Featured Replies

I have looked in my "documents" ;) but cannot see what knob adjusts the angle of the beam. I need to flick both of mine up a couple of notches before 2.30pm on Friday. :D

Right hand side one beneath the main switch that turns them on and off. The other one is for dash pod brightness.

Assuming you mean the electronic dash controls and not proper adjustment :)

Sorry, I did mean manual adjustment. The car failed on "too low" even with that knob on ---- setting.

Jesus what have you done :D

If you happen to have a haynes manual (surely you do with all that tinkering you've been doing?) I think there's a section about it in there ;)

Open the bonnet, look at the top of the headlights you should see a piece of white plastic, which looks like an hexagon shape (same as an allen key), (you can even use a screw driver). If I remember correctly you need to turn anti-clockwise to raise the beam.

Hope that helps.

Cheers, Chris. I will have a play tomorrow evening when I am parked facing a wall.

PS: I have no Haynes manual, I have the real thing. ;)

I'm guessing its the drivers side that has seemed to be lower than the passenger side. As mine did that.

Officially it failed on both sides but I will try to ensure both are raised up a bit, and levelled out.

You could try letting some air out of your rear tyres....

The inner adjusters are for vertical movement. Not sure which way they turn for raising the beam? If it was an MOT the testers surely couldnt have missed that!
