Hi,

I have an 05 Octavia 1.9TDi Ambiente and the back right door handle has stopped opening the rear door. Having read the forum, I reckon it is either the hook or collar that has popped out of the mechanism.

However, here is the problem, I cant get the door panel off! I have read the excellent guide by Rob on his Skoda vRS but where he descrbes the removal of 7 Torx screws, I cannot do this. There are none :confused: ! I have examined, as far as I can tell, every bit of the door and the trim and there are only 2 Torx screws around the lock mechanism but that has nothing to do with the trim.

If anyone out there knows how I can do this, I would really appreciate it.

Are you sure you've got an Octavia 1 rather than an Octavia 2? Rob's guide only applies to the Octavia 1.

Ken is right. Oct II started in 2004 although some earlier versions are still being sold today (principally the taxi version).

Hi all, can anyone point me in the direction of this guide ? Haven't manage to find it in the tech guide section, just the one on removing the door handle. My outside rear passenge side handle stopped working the weekend and now can only be opened from the inside.
