  1. I just came to post something similar independent of just seeing yours now. Never had issues with the infotainment unit until last week when I changed a setting for DAB to try force a reset of the station icons. From that point on I started to get the freeze followed by the black screen, music would still play but couldn't do anything else until I forced a reboot. It would go into the same cycle again but I knew I had changed a setting so tried to get back in again to reset it but I'd get the freeze again. If the unit started straight into Android Auto it was all good until I went back into the radio source. So I figured it must be to do with one of my settings so I tried using the Guest profile and everything was perfectly smooth. Done a factory reset today, bit of a faff setting up the primary user again but immediate thoughts is that it seems ok, I'll know later when I have a long drive.
  2. They don't unless you brake hard. If there's space on the battery re-gen braking will be used. You can also feel the difference between the two types of braking.
  3. Quick update, second time starting the car was asked for the S-PIN and my favourites were back, but my screen layouts, screen background and ambient lighting were all reset to default.
  4. Ah, so that's why I was asked to log into Skoda Connect again this morning, I hadn't been driving the car a while so thought my wife had done something. When I logged in as main driver it brought back some settings but not my radio favourites and the likes and I was prompted to go through the rescan setup again.
  5. Anyone know if a Nextbase 320XR will run off the rear-view mirror port?
  6. A lot of it is down to the previous journey. My wife has heating on high all the time so when she collects me the battery range is way down. I pop out that evening, have the air con temp much lower, park up and when I get back in again the range has increased.
  7. @SW- Is it handy enough to feed through the roof liner? On my MK III I went through the trim among the bottom before coming up via the pillar, the trim in the MK IV seems a little more solid. @Benja77 yeah, understand that, I've an iV so don't really want to go near fuses given all things power wise can seem to be a little temperamental.
  8. So the rear window add-on also gets powered piggybacking into the usb-c port? Which rear view camera are you using, the one that connects into the front or the one that you attach to the rear view window? That's a great solution for having both a front and rear.
  9. Yeah, I preferred the older settings, I've actually had to adjust my driving style as I was used to the car slowing by itself stronger and I would often be able to do one pedal driving, whereas now I feel like the car will run on a bit too quickly.
  10. When you say battery recuperation level, do you mean recuperation when braking or slowing down? I only now have Off, Automatic or On, where as previously I had options to actually set the recuperation level at high, medium etc. Not sure if it's related to 1985 or something else as I only just noticed it today.
  11. Bouncing this one as after a service I noticed that the car wasn't recuperating as heavily as before I left it in and when I went looking for the setting I couldn't find it again. So now I just have Automatic, On and Off. Like with the OP the car manual still points to the E-Drive setting so that hasn't been updated to reflect the reality. Anyone know why we don't get the option to set the recuperation level anymore?
  12. Also had it for a couple of days in a row and then it just left, I checked the lights at the time and they were grand. I even had Skoda call me to say the car is reporting a problem and do I want to bring it to a dealer.
  13. Your floor or boot surely would be a lot less hassle than messing around with mods?
  14. It's hardly the umbrella in the door is it? I thought my car door developed a rattle a while ago and after checking everything I couldn't resolve it. One rainy day I had the umbrella out and suddenly realised the sound was gone! I shook the umbrella and that was the noise I had been hearing inside the door.
