Where is the PAS sensor? K? Ross?

Featured Replies

Just wondering where this is located, because it would be useful for me to retain mine, before the wreckage goes elsewhere. ;) Is it on the engine block? On the steering rack? I've just sold the PAS reservoir/pump unit, so I hope its not on that...

Logically the sensor must be on the steering rack as it is sensing the position of the steering.

Look for a something with wires coming out of it!

its on steering rack o/s/f but the wiring runs along the rack area and over the n/s driveshaft to the power steering pump you can get access to the plug by removing the plastic trim from lower bumper and fog lamp if fitted.

Thanks Dave & Ade.

Removal of the steering rack / ABS unit is the last bits of removal I need to do with it before its imminent move, so will look out for it. Those wires must have been disconnected by me when I removed the PAS pump, so will follow them down. ;)
