Remap booked

Featured Replies

I've finally booked the remap in with Angel Tuning mobile service next Thursday :D:D:D

I'm nervous and completely excited – like being 6 years old again. At Christmas.

I went for Angel after talking to Nigel yesterday and he answered all my questions and seemed to know exactly what I wanted ie nice, smooth power/torque delivery rather than a full-on power blast. I'll keep everyone posted on the results.

I can't wait and just hope nothing goes wrong with SWMBO's trip away to her friend's house. I have to do everything by stealth

LOL :) sounds like what I will have to do when I get me an Octy soon. Already started making arrangements to get it mapped and haven't bought a car yet!

What mods have you got already? I am looking at getting a remap but if it is worth doing air filter, exhaust and a few other bolts ons I will, but not at huge cost if it's only going to add say 5bhp. I'm only interested in power, not sound/looks of air filter/dump valves etc. What do you think and how much?

turbo back exhaust, sports cat, FMIC, turbo inlet pipe and CAI

That lot would be nice to do before a custom remap but will cost a fair bit and it's a lot of money for not a lot of power gain, maybe an extra 20bhp over just a standard remap.

Suspension and brakes should be sorted first before the remap

Yeah totally agree sort the suspension and brakes first, this is what ive done and now two years later a remap is on the cards!

Have a look at my signature. I just want a bit more power and smoother delivery. But I want the car to look good too so I've put Koni suspension on, vRS 17" alloys and 312mm brakes, and for smoother running a Pipercross panel filter and Forge DV007 valve. I like the idea of having a sleeper – looks like a sensible family hatchback but drives like a proper sports car. :D

Have an Angel remap for a good while and very happy with it. Have not got to put it on the rollers yet but its on my list of things to do. Yes its a big list

Well, after cancelling the last one because SWMBO didn't go on hols as planned, it's now re-booked with Angel Tuning in its Tunbridge Wells workshop, where I'll also be getting the Whiteline adjustable RARB and Powerflex dogbone bushes fitted at the same time :D

And I think my life will then be complete

I'll report back soon

U will love it as i have all them and such fun. Its like a new car. picks up so quick its like a NA. such fun. reprt back what u think, go easy on the go fast stripe boys
