ARB woes after bush replace, pls help

Featured Replies

Hello

Just bought a 2004 VRS, knew the ARB bushes needed replacing so replaced them last week with Powerflex bushes, the original bushes didnt look bad and had no rust on them, the ARB looked in A1 condition. This stopped the creaking and groaning.

So i thought, yesterday the creaking and groaning came back with vengance. Does this mean I need a complete new ARB ?

Thanks in advance

J

Disconnect the arb and re try, just to verifiy it is the arb and not something else.

How much grease did you use and what type, I had too re-do mine with a **** load of copper slip.

The grease they supply with poly bushes is crap and dries out quickly. I used copper grease as well when I did mine and it has been fine for 6 months now.

Yeah it's that white stuff (lithium???)

Bit of heavy rain will wash it off :rolleyes:

All Powerflex bushes are supplied with copper slip.
