Hands Free Plug'n' Play opinions

Featured Replies

Having only experienced OEM integrated Bluetooth HFT in the past, I am now contemplating a portable plug'n'play type that clips to the sun visor such as the Parrott Minikit , Jabra SP5050 etc etc.

Has anyone experience of these types of HFT and if so, your opinions would be appreciated?

Thanks.

Yup, all the reviews I've seen say this type is crap for the cash.

You can get a full Nokia kit on ebay for less than £50, and fit yourself,

The Parrott Minikit reviews I've read were very mixed, it appeared to be either a love it or hate it scenario. YouTube have a rather amusing video on it, in particular the scene of a woman soaking in a foam bath, the phone rings, she reaches out to press the button on her adjacent Minikit to take the call, then lays back in the foam for a phone conversation.

I did contemplate the Skoda factory fitted HFT via the Multi Functional steering wheel but the cost seemed somewhat exorbitant to say the least. The factory fitted MF steering wheel incorporating HFT costs an extra £360 over the one without it! Even then, there would be a compatibility issues with my two Motorola phones.

the parrot ck3000 evo is worth every penny, its around £80 and works a treat. these potable ones arent gonna be great

Parrot kit from Tescos for me, cost about £45, works well enough

i have a couple of these , dont rate them very highly , the nokia 1 with the carbon look is atrocious .

spat my dummy and bought a parrot 9100 which is brilliant , uses a usb stick or ipod etc, can recommend this , really like the control unit being wireless so i can have it on the drivers armrest.
