Right driving along, all fine gearbox smooth as-ever no notchs or anything, then cant get into 2nd gear or 4th gear and 1st is a bit notchy R,3 and 5 fine as is the clutch

Any idea what the problems are?

Try changing to a lighter gear oil this will help syncro operation and check cable adjustment.

I just had the oil changed in my box and it has greatly improved the changes.

I need to sort out the linkage next as the previous owner had an RAC man make a temp repair on the linkage bolt about 6 years ago and it's still holding up but probably causing some of the indecisiveness with the changes.
