I am thinking of fitting an aftermarket stereo such as the Alpine 103BT to give me an all-in-one bluetooth/ipod solution. It occurred to me that the parking sensors display and sound through my Stream radio.

Now the visual display I can live without, but will I lose my parking sensors if I fit a different stereo?

I might be wrong but I think the beep is provided by the module in the boot, however your aftermarket stereo will not automatically reduce the volume when you put the car into reverse. So the park sensors will still work, just not as comprehensively as they do now
