Our Octavia 2.0 PD requires a new cambelt (cars done 44k miles in 4 years) and I'm looking for a good independant in the Derbyshire area.

Anyone recommend one and give me a rough idea of cost?

Im affraid i dont know any out your way, and dont know how far you are from Rotherham.

I use a Independant Skoda Specialist in Rotherham.

Had my turbo replaced by him at christmas, can thoroughly recommend him.

As the dealers wanted £1300 for the turbo alone, i went to him and had it all fitted for quite a few hundred cheaper than that.

I did ask him roughly how much it would cost for the rollers, belt and waterpump replacing. Said i would be looking around the £350 mark.

Not entirely sure if this is expensive or not, a nice tidy workshop and he is very thorough with his work.
