Restoring chrome exhaust on VRS

Featured Replies

Hi,

My dad has cleverly used alloy-wheel cleaner on my exhaust, it doesn't look good.

Can anyone recommend a product to bring it back to its normal shiny-ness level?

Cheers

I would have thought that a standard chrome cleaning paste would do the trick.

There is some you can buy in a tube, can't remember the name but I used it on my bikes and on my L&k exhaust and it works a treat.

Maguiers do a metal polish, could be worth a crack. Autosol is another that comes in a tube or try Brasso from Robert Dyas or such like. Remember to put some polish on if you use Autosol.

That's the stuff. Autosol

Very fine wire wool and t cut work mint

I am a big fan of Wire Wool swiftly followed by some Autosol and a Microfibre and if your feeling flush Brasso or Megs Next Metal Polish........

Brasso & Fine Wire Wool ....Spotless

I've tried Autosol, Peek and now Megs. All give good results with or without fine steelwool.

Brasso or Silvo always works for me! ;)
